So. Er. I'm just a girl. I'm a geek. I'm reading for a first degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Balliol College, Oxford. I'm a liberal and a feminist. I live in a flat with four and a half people, I sleep all day, I like drinking pink wine, I write. You know lots of people just like me.
Probably, you're here because I do, indeed, write fanfiction. You can find it all in my memories or on my website (Sleeping With Ghosts; it doesn't get updated very much, but I do try to put all my fic on it eventually) and rest assured it's pretty much all work-safe because I can't write porn to save my life. It's mostly gen, with a lot of slash and some het, and I've lost count of how many fandoms it's in. Most recently it's Slings & Arrows (Geoffrey Tennant! Went crazy mid-performance of Hamlet!), but I never leave a fandom, not really.
My fic is also tagged, and so are any recs posts I make. I'm only just starting to use tags, so they're a bit confused right now. Bear with me on that.

I've maintained a lot of communities, but right now it's only really ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) new_who and girl_doctor. The Eleventh Doctor, who is suddenly a woman after nine hundred years of not being one, is partly mine (but mostly the BBC's). Everyone's welcome to play, and there's also a selection of girl!Doctor-themed goodies up on CaféPress, in case you ever wanted a t-shirt with "strong independent woman with a cat" on the front, or something.

So, yes, that's it. Here, you'll find me writing about Oxford, about fandom, about combinations thereof, about politics, about mental health issues, about cultural hang-ups, because I can be serious sometimes, but mostly it's just me babbling ridiculously about my life. Quite often to some length, but I have to do admit that I don't cut my entries, off the logic that it can't take longer for people to scroll past them than it takes me to write them. I do try to be interesting, honestly.
Everyone's welcome to friend me. I can't friend everyone back who friends me these days - my workload doesn't permit me to have too long a friends list - but my journal is almost entirely public, so no one misses a thing if they're not added. |
